Bonjour à toutes et à tous,
"Les Années Sont Passées, Mais Quelques Chose Est Resté"
je voudrais juste faire partagez ma passion qui s'appelle la FUNK vous faire découvrir des "pépites rares" jusqu'aux "plus connu",
Retrouvez les meilleurs titres des années 80 en vinyls ou cd's, qui vous ont fait vibrer,biographies, artistes ou groupe, mix, collection, pochettes de disques....
Je commence par le grand Lew Kirton:
J'ai choisi Lew Kirton artistes aux voix exceptionnelles, Lew Kirton est doté d'un certain atout vocal, sur ce lp de 1983 tiré à l'origine du label Believe Records et produit par Russell Timmons & Barry Eastmond, 8 titres au total comptant 4 morceaux qui démontent et 4 autres morceaux ballades, mais meme sur les slows on ne peut qu'apprécier le talent vocal de Lew. Les 4 Titres qui font de ce Lp un chef d'oeuvre sont Talk To Me, Don't Give Up Your Dream (Hand On In There), Just Can't Get Enough et bien sur le meilleur titre pour moi Here's My Love (Come & Get It). A Savoir aussi que Lew Kirton a sorti un album en 1980 se nommant Just Arrived au style beaucoup plus soul que le 83 album que je n'ai pas en m'a possession car je n'en ai pas ressenti le besoin...
Autres Info : Il faut aussi savoir que le label sur lequel a été réedité ce cd n'est pas l'un des meilleurs du japon car sur certaines réeditions de P-Vine le son laisse à désirer...
Pour terminer c'est un album que je conseille vivement aux amateurs de Funky Music le pressage sur cet album reste de bonne qualité et meme si il devient assez compliqué à trouver .

Bonjour tout le monde,
Voila je vous présente la reine de la funk Evelyn Champagne King:
Comment ne pas parler de cette artiste Talentueuse, lancée par son Père (Jacques Fred Petrus) Evelyn King signe chez RCA ou elle débute sur son premier Lp du nom de Smooth Talk Incluant le succès commercial de l'époque Shame en 1978. Ces Deux Albums sont pour beaucoup de monde les deux meilleurs Lp qu'elle est fait a noter également l'album de 85 qui n'est pas si mal que ca aussi. En 1981 I'm In Love sorti sur le label Rca est un album mitigé entre la fin des années disco et entre le début de ce que l'on va nommer tout simplement la période Funky des débuts 80 jusqu'a 86... Incluant les deux énorment classic dont on ne se lassera jamais I'm In Love & If You Want My Lovin' légèrement dans le meme style Spirit Of The Dancer, tons un peu plus disco sur les morceaux suivants What are You Waiting For I Can't Take It. Du monde derriere la production Morrie Brown, Paul Laurence Jones III, Kashif, Willie Lester & Rodney Brown

Voila je vous présente un autre Artiste Gleen Jones:
Glenn Jones est pour moi un artiste à la voix unique chaque morceau de lui est execptionnel de part sa voix, Ce Lp de 1983 est certe court mais très efficace pour vous satisfaire puisqu'il dispose de 3 tueries sur 5. Un Lp Produit par Howard King & Hubert Eaves sorti à l'époque sur le label Rca Records en Vinyl, et réedité il y a quelques temps par le label West Side en cd. Les 3 Morceaux exeptionnels : I am Somebody (Enorme Classic), Everybody Loves a Winner, et l'excellent Love Intensity qui est le meilleur titre du Lp pour moi a savoir aussi Keep On Doin le titre en duo avec sa femme Genobia.

Voila je vous présente le groupe Shalamar:
Shalamar a été créé par Dick Griffey, célèbre agent de l'émission télévisée R&B Soul Train, et par le producteur Simon Soussan. Le premier single du groupe, un medley de tubes de la Motown inclus dans leur premier album "Uptown Festival" paru en 1977, ne les révélera pas tout de suite puisque les musiciens sont encore inconnus à cette époque.
Le départ d'Hewett en 1986, pour se lancer en solo, marque la fin du groupe. Et ceci, malgré l'arrivée de Sidney Justin et l'enregistrement en 1987 de "Circumstantial Evidence" qui fut un échec.

Bonjour tout le monde,
je vous présente le groupe Change :
Change, un groupe de l'époque que l'on ne peut oublier, 6 Albums dans leur discographie avec un style bien à eux, tous étant produits par Jacques Fred Petrus & Mauro Malavasi exceptés les deux derniers. La composition du groupe change d'année en année d'ou l'explication de la nommenclature du groupe... (peut etre).
Le premier album, The Glow Of Love sorti en 1980 sur le label Warner Brother en vinyl contient 3 titres inoubliables,change of heart ,you are my melody & heaven of my life, en effet sur ces morceaux on note la présence d'artistes comme Jocelyn Shaw Allias Jocelyn Brown (Somebody Else' s Guy) en lead vocal sur A Lover's Holiday, (Morceau samplé plus d'une fois dans des mixes avec notamment une reprise par R Kelly de l'intru...) et Luther Vandross sur le titre change of heart & you are my melody en bref un album Disco/Funk qui met le moove pour débuter ce premier opus.

Voici le groupe Starpoint,
Au depart le groupe formé par Ernesto,Orlando, Greg & Georges PHILLIPS ainsi que Kayode ADEYEMO avait pour nom LICYNDIANA.
C'est au moment ou la fabuleuse (et regrettée) diva Renée DIGGS rejoins la formation que le legendaire groupe STARPOINT est crée (pour leur premier lp "STARPOINT" en 1980)le nom LICYNDIANA étant jugé imprononsable.
De 80 à 90 ce groupe se sera démarqué des autres par la qualité exceptionnelle de la voix de Renée (que je qualifie pour ma part de plus grande voix au monde sans aucun équivalent) et par le génie musical et scénique des freres PHILLIPS et de Kayode (avec des instrus completements dingues comme sur "Do What You Wanna Do","Wanting You","Behind Your Back" ou encore "It's All Your's").
Pour beaucoup d'amateur STARPOINT est tout simplement et sans aucune hésitation le meilleur groupe, de part la diversité de son style,de part la puissance de son son, en une décennie STARPOINT a montré l'étendu de la magie de la funk au monde entier.
