  1. We had hoped that Kadafi would be still alive to answer for the crimes he committed against his people during his 42 years of reign in a court of law but things went out of control and he got killed in the heat of the moment. People of Libya have given him a chance to leave the country him and his familly with all the wealth he amassed without being pursued but he chose to again kill his own people. I believe Kadafi and his sons saw exactly what was coming their way but because of their arrangance and ignorance chose to stay and get blown up.
  2. USA already has one in Morocco Translation: Etats-Unis a déjà une au Maroc
  3. Father of C and Unix passed away last weekend. if your programming language uses curly braces, you are relying on one of the foundations he built.
  4. Steve Jobs passed away today at age 56.
  5. Although I agree you can't tell a whole lot from these events so early and they didn't bring a quick fix that lots of people where looking for, they definitely offered hope and changed the strategic balance of the region. I also want to mention that killing and destruction were there before the Arab Spring even started and they were part of the straw that broke the camel's back. Hama massacre Syria 1982, Abu Salim Prison massacre Libya 1996, Halabja Iraq 1988... just to name a few.
  6. I tried to make sense of what you wrote about my sister but couldn't (BTW I don't have a sister, only brothers). I know your hot blooded and you're at the end of your rope so I am stopping this discussion and save my breath I've already made my point. Have a nice day DA.
  7. I read french but I don't write it, I have learned so much french from this forum but not to the point of writing yet.. English is my native language
  8. My postings are for English speaking or understanding audience if you're not among them then there is no reason to answer. You still can't make a difference between country and government. People get back to native country to visit relatives not government and this is what the whole discussion is about. Funny I've noticed you using the third persion plural 'Nous' like you're the spokesperson of the Algerian people, just wonder who appointed you. Besides weapons are mostly produced to kill and restrict freedom, not to protect like you think. You're still naive in my book. I am sure you haven't heard of the Iran-Contragate, the USA was imposing arms embargo on Iran but still selling them weapons.
  9. I've heard stupid stuff before but this one tops them all.
  10. Well if you don't understand English don't bother answering it. But they never came back, and believe me every time I meet somebody that returned from Algeria He tells me he won't go back, I wonder why. Is that the best you can do? I am not saying Algeria shouldn't buy weapons, I am saying they should start improving people's lives before indulging in useless weapons. You must be naive to say that Libya couldn't buy weapons because it was under embargo. Kadafi had stockpiles of missiles bought from Russia, wonder why the Russians were with Kadafi's regime until the last minute. FYI Libya doesn't have an army and most Libyans don't know how to use a rifle or any other weapons so they brought in people to train them.
  11. I guess you're the smart one. I am not comparing wars, I am talking about post war era. I also said S.Korea doesn't have resources, Algeria does have oil and gas but your government chose to sell the oil/gas and stash the revenues in Swiss banks and American Bonds. As for the so called civil war that same government was involved in canceling legitimate elections and plunging the country in blood along with other groups.
  12. I can tell you either don't understand English or you're playing dumb. I am not being judgmental in any of those quotes, I was talking in general and I cited reality. As for the Algerian education system I have not made any stuff of my own, just check the rank of Algerian universities and you'll figure that out on your own. You're right there are plenty of bright Algerians working in other countries but most of them got their education when Algeria was ranked and had one the of the greatest universities in the world back in 70's 80's not these day. Just ask yourself where are these educated people, most of them left the country. Another quote taken out of context. I am talking about poorly made weapons that can only be sold to 3rd world countries. I don't give a flip about what kind of weapons Algeria is buying, I was trying to bring attention to the politics of buying stockpile of weapons for billions of dollars when you don't have a good education system, no healthcare and no social services and most people are living below poverty line. I don't pick and choose videos from youtube to form my opinion. I can tell that the Algerian government and media already dumbed you down so I don't have anything to add. Take it easy.
  13. Please go back to my posts and read'em carefully then show me where I judged somebody instead of making stuff up. I have noticed that some Algerians in Algeria or abroad (you're one of them) are so much indoctrinated to the point of blindness that you can't accept criticism either of yourself or your country. For you everything is perfect even when there are poverty, misery, lack of education, no healthcare, no social services...etc, but you only interested in military buildup. It's ok to criticize the government, country or anybody else for that matter. Actually criticizing allows to correct things and move forward. Let me cite one example for you, S. Korea came out of war around the same time Algeria had its independance maybe a decade difference, Algeria has a big wealth of gas and oil (S Korea doesn't have any resources) but couldn't do anything with it and plunged into corruption, what S.Korea came out with are Samsung, Hyundai, Kia, LG to name a few, so take notice. Just to set the record straight, I am not an Algerian citizen, I never left Algeria.
  14. I am not judging anybody I am trying to debate something in a respectful manner. It's not personal so take it easy. I know some Algerians are hot blooded and I know for sure you have been brainwashed or maybe just angry that you got kicked out of some country (Clandistin). Try to direct that anger energy toward something fruitful instead of blowing smoke. What do you get serving your masters (Mafia)? I am sure nothing except more dictatorship, misery and loss of life. Sad you listen to the Cranberries but you haven't learned a single thing from their lyrics. Let me tell you something, with your attitude I don't think any country will allow you to live on their land because you sound like a dictator and as soon as you get the reigns you will oppress the people, so I am happy that you are in Algeria and not somewhere else. you bet. I actually am enjoying a break, and definitely don't need a J since I don't smoke. I think you need one to help you with your brain damage.
  15. It's still stinky Russian weaponary that blows air that's all. The question you should ask yourself if you're educated enough is what is this weaponary for when your fellow citizens are dying of hunger and misery in rotten hospitals, instead of wasting all that money on useless weapons that money should be directed towards education, healthcare, social services...etc not on some weapons that even if they get used one day it will be on the citizens themselves like they are doing in Syria.
  16. Here we go again another nationalist that can't see beyond his tribe. I just have one question for you on this, what kind of education you get in Algeria? last time I checked Algeria was listed at the bottom of the list behind Kenya and Ethiopia, that explains your blindness and misinformation you got about the CNT. People like you is the reason Algeria is lacking on many fronts. May Allah have mercy on the great Algerian thinker Malik Bennabi when he described you as colonized minds that has driven muslims toward moral and psychological decay. If CNT got AK-47 what does Algeria has, M16? oh sorry forgot Algeria buys Russian weapons so they have AK-47 too. by the way, all Russian weaponry is rotten and old and really doesn't work, why don't read the story about the Mig fighter jets transaction that Algeria had to cancel with Russia. You really need to wake up and smell the coffee, your government keep slapping you left and right and the only thing you have to say is "Yes sir may I have another". You are probably very young and don't understand history or politics and keep gobbling every lie you government spew. And the only thing the CNT wants is for the Algerian Mafia to keep away from them and stop supporting Kadafi, pretty simple isn't it?
  17. Dude, it really amazes me where you get this info then you say I ain't sure if it's true or a lie. I am sure I'll want to move to Libya if any of those are true, but unfortunately it ain't. Libya with all the wealth it has still does not have decent roads, hospitals, or infrastructure, ask any decent Libyans, that's where you need to get your info from, not FB. Libyans have been patient for 42 years after this ruthless punk overthrew a legitimate king (Idris Snoussi btw the Snoussis' are Algerians from Mostaganem) and today they can't take it anymore, they live in extreme poverty while Kadafi and his ilks enjoy wealth that should've been shared. Libya for the last 42 year looks like Mad Max movie but I am sure it has a bright future now that Kadafi is gone for good.
  18. Well since you like to be stripped out of your dignity as a human being and you love to live in dictatorships I am glad you got what you deserve. BTW why don't you sign up to be the mouthpiece of the Algerian government (Mafia)?
  19. SONATRACH is one of biggest investors in Libya's oil that' why your government is supporting this ruthless dictator.
  20. Pure propaganda, I hope you read what you just spewed here, just take a trip to Libya and visit Tripoli to realize they still live in the stone age with all the oil money going to one family and tribe (Ghadafis).
  21. Haram doesn't mean you have to kill her, two wrongs don't make a right. Committing a major sin (killing) is by itself BIG BIG haram. When you're faced with your wife disobedience you complain to his Almighty Allah, you do what Allah prescribed in his book, like light beating, not sleeping in the same bed..etc and at the end of all if nothing works, divorce is your best bet not killing.
  22. Salam alykoom, I haven't seen your answer yet, maybe I overlooked it. The only thing I saw is a sentence about rights you took out of the whole discussion and tried to answer but failed. I am not talking about how homosexuality is perceived by people I am talking about the law of the land being applied towards homosexuals, I am 100% positive that no homosexual is being criminalized or being put to death in Algeria and prove me wrong if you can. Majority of Americans perceive homosexuality as a sin and gay marriage is against the law but it doesn't make America a chritian nation although majority christians. Again let's go back to the point of muslims living in the west, most of muslim immigrants here are known to have migrated not because they wanted to but because of misery in their native land, lack of freedom, no freedom of speech, no work they can't even feed their families, despair, lack of peace, wars, killings...etc. Make a trip to the shore and see how many people trying to escape via sea to other countries and that would tell you if you are in a muslim land. Early companions of the prophet peace be upon him had to migrate to AlHabasha (Abyssinia) (Christian nation at the time) why? because AlNajashi (Negus) was a righteous king where nobody is oppressed, even the prophet (PBH) himself had to migrate to Medina, so take note please. Salam alykoom
  23. Salam alykoom, Please spare me the Algerian constitution, it's just ink on paper. What that constitution says and the reality on the ground are completely different. 1. "Democratique" do you really believe it? is it really democracy in Algeria, you know better I guess you live there so I am not gonna pursue that point. 2. Islam is the religion of the state. Again just ink, but most of the basic tenants of Islam are nowhere to be found. 3. Arabic is the language of the state. AFAIK french is still the dominant language in Algeria. Check out what language your elected representatives speak, they can't even make a correct sentence in Arabic except few of them. Finally, I am askin Mr. Zinelh, not a religious figure here, he brought up the point of living in the west being haram and telling me Algeria is a muslim land because majority are muslims where a muslim land is not defined by how many muslims live in but by sharia or religious edicts being applied. Is Malaysia a muslim land, most are muslims but nobody consider the country as muslim land. Thank for trying
